Better trained, equipped, and supported officers make a better, safer Greater Lafayette.

A collaborative group of community leaders founded the Greater Lafayette Police Foundation (GLPF) as a 501c3 corporation in 2014. The Corporation is organized to honor, recognize, and support the law enforcement officers serving the Greater Lafayette community. The Corporation will also endeavor to:

A. provide for recognition events

B. provide for training opportunities and equipment needs unmet by public funding

C. encourage youth interest in law enforcement careers, and,

D. promote goodwill and positive public relations for law enforcement officers.

The Lafayette Police Department proudly serves the City of Lafayette and its 70,000+ residents with a commitment to excellence and community partnership. With a dedicated team of over 150 sworn officers and 55 civilian staff, LPD is equipped with a state-of-the-art public safety center, top-tier technology, and comprehensive training programs to ensure the highest level of service and safety.
